Obituary of Helen Tomac

TOMAC, Helen (nee Kocurova) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Helen, a loving Wife, Mother and Babi on August 1, 2018, surrounded by her family at the age of 70. Beloved wife and best friend of 49 years to Mirko Tomac. Loving mother to Marianne Ring (Rick) and Robert Tomac. Cherished babi to Michael and Alysun Ring, Predeceased by parents Jan and Maria Kocur. Dear sister to the late Ana Ivanko and husband Miso, Agnesa Ivanko and late husband Juraj and the late Mariena Kertes and husband Misko; all of Slovakia. Also survived by nieces and a nephew in Slovakia. Helen retired from Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus with over 20 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, especially Dr. Kulkarni and Dr. Hirmiz, along with the dedicated staff at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus, 4 West and ICU, for their compassionate care. Our family is forever thankful for your level of professionalism and commitment to Helen's care, which enabled our family to have her with us for an additional 7 years. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519-253-7234 on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral services on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Helen's life, memorial donations may be made to Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus, 4th Floor Oncology Unit.
