Obituary of Alessio Giachini

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Alessio, surrounded by his loving family on July 20, 2018 at 90 years of age. Loving Husband and best friend of Filomena (nee Bachetti) with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Cherished and devoted Father of Argia Bleyendaal, Rose Giachini and Ernie Giachini and wife Josie. Adored Nonno of Eric, Gabrielle, Michael, Kristopher, David and Joey. Reunited with his beloved parents Ernesto and Argia Giachini. Dear Brother of the late Raffaele and wife Pia Giachini and the late Teresa and Giuseppe Giuliani. Brother-in-law of Giovanni and Serafina Bachetti and Domenica and the late Antonio Valigini. He will also be missed dearly by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and Italy. Alessio retired from Chrysler after many years of dedicated service. He was an avid hunter and member of the Caboto Club Bocciafila and enjoyed spending time in his garden and making his special Italian wine. He will also be remembered for his generosity and integrity. Above all, his unwavering love and devotion to his family will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Tuesday July 24, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
