Obituary of Maria Wozniak (Hawryluk)

It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria, on July 10, 2018 at the age of 91. Reunited with her beloved husband Jakiw (1980). Loving mother of Sofie and husband Arthur Stoyshin. Treasured Bapcha to Michael and wife Sue, Sandy and husband Mark, and Susan. Proud Bapcha Maria to Benjamin, Jack and Gracie. Predeceased by Mike Hawryluk. Born in Belarus, she immigrated to Canada in 1950 and spent her life dedicated to the Ukrainian Communities in Detroit and Windsor. We will miss her beautiful home cooked meals and the endless, devoted love she shared with all of us. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 6pm " 9pm. Parish prayers at 7:30pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, July 13, 2018 in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Burial will follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In memory of Maria, memorial donations can be made to the St. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Building Fund.
