To my regret, I only just found out about Nina's passing. We had been keeping in touch every few years and I was trying to contact her today to see how she and her family were doing. We had dated for a time when we were at the University of Windsor and I remember the time she took me to visit her family at the farm and her Dad gave me a glass of homemade wine. It was quite strong, but good! I also visited her in London, Ont., in an old but very interesting house. I can remember chasing a Bat and trying to get it out of the house - not easy! The next time we met was in Toronto, where we got together for lunch at The Standard, to catch up. Whatever the occasion, I always enjoyed the time we spent together. She was a very loving and caring woman. I am very sad to learn we won't be able to catch up and share a few laughs and memories. 66 is too young for such a special lady! My condolences to her family and friends. I have included a photo from when I knew her in Windsor and a more recent one.

to john, sorry i found out to late and couldnt make the visit. you had a great calm natured sister that i will always remember. the apanasiewicz family are close to my heart. ALL THE BEST TO YOU IN LIFE. i remember visiting your farm in MAIDSTONE. the bridge over the creek. your dad made the best dill pickles in the world. i mentioned this to NINA at your dad funeral and she calmly replied, YES, DAD MADE GOOD PICKLES. i feel your loss also. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. I worked closely with Nina at CAMH for several years . She was a skilled psychologist and a warm, caring and fun individual. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. I do hope she did not suffer.

Sincere condolences, John, on the loss of Nina. Nina and I met in graduate school in Windsor. I have valued her friendship over these many years. I will miss her laughter, her appetite for life, and her recounting details of varied travels/cruises and the people she met. As a psychologist, Nina helped so many people with their personal struggles. She left us far too soon.

I was saddened to learn of Nina''s passing. I was a colleague of hers for many years at Queen St. Mental Health Centre. Nina was a very caring and competent Psychologist. She was a lovely, warm woman of fine character. My sincere condolences to her family.
