Fred, Freddie, Dad, Papa, Uncle Fred. However you knew Fred Pistagnesi you were fortunate to know a great man. We raise our glasses in a toast one last time to a kind, caring, devoted husband to his wife Helen of 64 years. A loving father to his children Dave, Cathy Bellis (John), Mike (Shawn) and Chris Gurniak (Mike). A proud grandfather to his grandchildren Matthew (Melanie), Robert, Eric, Caylen, Daniel, Andrew, Jen and Jessie and his great grandchildren Audrey and Nolan. Fred was one of seven children in a busy Italian household where two things mattered; family and who made the best pasta. A hard-working man, Fred was known in the construction industry as the owner of Dor Kraft building materials and later as a salesman for DorCo. In his leisure time, Fred bowled, golfed and fished. Did he every tell you the story about the one that got away or how to hold a golf club? Fred took pride in his home on Dormar Drive. Friends, family and neighbours were always welcome to drop in and say hello, share a beer or a glass of wine. Everyone was welcome and many laughs were had. Now Dad it is time to put away your violin for the last time. We love you dad, Cheers! In keeping with Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
