Obituary of Lorenzo Musico Cardillo

CARDILLO, Lorenzo It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Lorenzo, a loving Husband, Father, Nonno, Bis-Nonno and Brother, on June 16, 2018 at W.R.H., Met. Campus surrounded by his family, at the age of 81. Beloved husband and best friend to Luigia Gina (nee Delicata) with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage. Loving father to Gerry (Karen) and Ennio (Giulia). Cherished nonno to Tina (Chris), Danielle (Chris), late Stephen (Amber), Lorenzo (Kaylee) and Vittoria (Adrien). Adored bis-nonno to Christina, Peyton, Sydney and Brooke. Dear brother to Salvatore (Antonietta), Giuseppe (Marietta), Giovanni (late Conchetta), Maria (Pasquale), Rosa (Angelo) and Angelena (Alfredo). Dear brother in-law to Angela (late Giovanni), late Anna (late Oreste) and late Marco (Christene). Lorenzo was a founding member of the the Ciociaro Club of Windsor, Board member of the Madonna Di Canneto Society and a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Madonna Del Rossario Society. He was a retired employee of Chrysler Canada after 32 years of dedicated service and a member of Unifor Local 444. Lorenzo served in the Italian Navy during peacetime operations. He loved to travel with his family and friends and cherished family gatherings, for birthdays and dinners. Lorenzo also enjoyed his weekly social gatherings with family and friends for card games. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his garden. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519.253.7234 on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers Wednesday at 4:30 pm. Funeral service on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 8:45 am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave.) for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to honour Lorenzo's life may be made to St. Angela Church Building Fund or for Mass offerings.
