Obituary of Donata Valente

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Donata on June 11, 2018 at 89 years of age. Reunited with her loving husband Pasquale (2000) with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Cherished and devoted mother of Jo-Anne Bortolin and husband Louis and Peter Valente and wife Jennifer. Adored Nonna of Jennifer and husband Jason, Katharen (Peter), Lauren, Michael and Bis Nonna of Matteo and Ella. Dear sister of the late Giuseppe Fiorvento (late wife Serafina), late Antonio Fiorvento (late wife Anna), late Cristina Simiele (husband Antonio), late Giuseppina (husband Remoaldo), Nicola Fiorvento (wife Elena), and brother-in-law the late Domenico Valente (late wife Serafina). She will also be missed dearly by many nieces and nephews. Donata was always happiest when preparing "Sunday Feasts" for her family and caring for her beloved grandchildren. Her unwavering love and devotion to her family will be treasured forever. A special thank you to Dr. Dale Ziter, Sue, Toni, and the entire staff at Extendicare Southwood Lakes for your care and compassion given to our Mother. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. On Friday June 15, 2018, relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
