Obituary of Carmelo DeRose

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Father and Nonno on May 20, 2018 at 88 years of age. Reunited with his loving wife Luigina (2009) with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Cherished Father of Ada and Nello Taiariol, Frank and Daniela, John and Jennifer and Cathy Mikha. Adored Nonno of Nadia, Franco, Anthony, Sergio, Nikko, Christina and Jenna. Predeceased by his sister Annina (2014) and brother-in-law Giuseppe Piccolo (2017). Survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy, Canada and the U.S. Carmelo will be deeply missed by his extended family at Oak Park Terrace (North Service Rd.) especially Joe and Frank. The family would like to thank C.C.A.C., St. Elizabeth nurses, EMS, WRH- Met Campus doctors and nurses for your support. A very special thank you to the staff at Oak Park Terrace for your excellent care and compassion given to our Father. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234, on Thursday May 24, 2018 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday May 25, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
