Obituary of Fernande Gelinas

GELINAS, Fernande Jacqueline Juliette (nee Gareau) July 24, 1928-November 10, 2020 Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Riverside Place Nursing Home at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jacque Gelinas and her parents Wilfred and Florida Gareau. Loving mother of Suzanne Ruel (Willie), Rose-Marie O’Keefe (Daniel), Denis Gelinas (Carol) and Christine Sanderson. Cherished grandmother of Brigitte (Daniel), Julie (Patrick), Jayson, Mallory (Ryan), Ashley (Adam), Matthew, Melanie, Blake and great grandmother of Eleanor, Louisa, Margo, Penny, Levi and Adelyne. Dear sister of Jeannine Lécuyer, Marcel Gareau and predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at Riverside Place Nursing Home for your care, compassion and dedicated support and to her dear friend Rachel for all your love and friendship for many years. In keeping with Fernande’s wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place in the Spring of 2021. If you desire, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
