Obituary of Louis Reaume

REAUME, Louis Passed peacefully with family by his side on Friday May 18 2018 at the age of 80, after a lengthy battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Loving husband of Yvonne for 54 years. Son of the late H.T. Buster and Loretta Reaume. Son in-law of the late Alfred and Jeanette Jacques. Devoted father of Michael (Elona), Simone Reaume-Hayes (Phil), David (Stacey), Matthew (Cara) and Christopher (Laura). Caring P"p" to Joseph, Claire, Jordan, Taylor, Lauren, Meko, Merek and Zuri. Godfather to Sue McLaughlin and James Morand, and uncle to 31 nieces and nephews. Brother to the late Tony Reaume (Louise), late MaryEllen Morand (late Gene), Georgi May and Betty Ann Baptista (Enio). Brother in-law to Jackie Papineau, Cis Gale (late Bud), Georgette Giesey (late Rick), late Lynn Boufford (Walt), and Fred Jacques (Pat). Louis owned and operated, what is now a fourth-generation family business, specializing in property development and building custom homes. Louis was an honest and respected business person and was dedicated to his family, friends, and community. Louis gave generously of his time for 14 years as a public servant for Tecumseh and Essex County, and as a devoted member of his faith community. He loved family gatherings, woodworking, and his morning coffee with friends. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers at 8:00 pm. Visiting continues on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Good Shepherd Parish (462 Advance Blvd., Tecumseh) from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St Anne Cemetery.
