Obituary of Margaret Zelezney

ZELEZNEY, Margaret "Maggie"<br/>Passed away peacefully on November 9, 2020 at the age of 76, with her children and beloved dog, Rudy, at her side. Reunited with her beloved husband Andrey, and son Greg. Cherished mother to Sherri (Dianna), and Chris. Dear sister to Virginia Gherasim. Predeceased by parents, Remi and Mary Fortais, and 8 siblings. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Maggie will be missed by her many friends at Bingo and the Tim Horton staff at Chandler Rd. and Tecumseh Rd. E. She will be remembered for being a passionate person when it came to helping and rescuing dogs in need. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Paramed, especially Ambre, Sara, Laura and Victoria for their compassionate care provided to mom and our family. Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers at 7:30pm. A private Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, followed by private interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Maggie's life, memorial donations may be made directly to TLC Animal Aid (230 Strabane Ave., Unit 901, Windsor, Ontario N8Y 4V2).
