Obituary of Theresa Woods

Passed away on May 3rd, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Born in Wales, raised in England, she spent the majority of her adult life in the United States and Canada. Theresa has been joyfully reunited with her beloved husband Hugh (2006) with whom shared a happy 53 year marriage. She was an exceptional and loving mother to her daughter Christina Anne. Survived by extended family in England, Scotland, and Wales. Theresa will be remembered for her sweet personality, kind soul, and amazing blue eyes. She suffered from health problems for the past ten years and benefitted greatly from the array of home care and community support services available in Windsor-Essex. These vital services extended her life and allowed her to remain comfortably at home with her grandkitties Harry, Hermione, and Shakespeare. Theresa wished to bless all those who had blessed her path during this period of life-altering illness. Grateful and heartfelt thanks to: Windsor-Essex EMS, CCAC (Case Mgr Michelle, Bayshore PSW Tammy, Paramed RN Seana), Windsor-Regional Hospital ER Staff (GEM Nurse Sandra), Windsor-Regional Medicine Floors Four/Five Staff (Dr. Kennette), Tecumseh Pharmacy Plus (Gus, Wendy, Angela), Dr. Wallace Liang and Staff (Margaret, Karen, Maureen), Dr. Albert Kadri and Staff (Vonne, Colleen), VON Detour Program (RN Jackie), La Dolce Vita Retirement Home Staff (Franca, Tony), the Olde Walkerville Pharmacy (Omar), Windsor Cancer Centre (Dr. Pan, MSW Andrew, Dietician Donna), and the late Dr. Michael Lai. The Essex County Public Library (Tecumseh Branch) played an important role in Theresa"s life as she outlived her friends and family and leaving home became difficult. Having quality access to books, magazines, newspapers, and DVDs enabled her to stay intellectually active and connected to the world around her. At Theresa"s request, cremation has taken place.
