LEWSAW, GeorgeIt is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of George on May 8, 2018 at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus with family by his side. Loving and devoted husband of Bonnie (Nee Hind) celebrating 51 years of marriage. Loving father of Joel (Melinda) and Jeff (Anne Margaret). Cherished grandpa to Jared, Jacob, Andrew, Myah, Fiona, Jackson and Juliet. Dear brother of the late Ron (Bonnie), Ruth Ann (late Victor), Elaine ( late Mike)and twin sister Sandy (late Ron). Dear brother-in-law of Bob (Cathy), Mary Ann (late Jack), Betty (late Pat), Barb (Peter), Patti (Pete) and Debbie (Armand). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. George retired from Chrysler Canada in 2000. He was a devoted and faithful parishioner at Our Lady of Atonement and a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Council #8919. He was a Eucharistic and Lay Minister and his devotion to his faith lead him to be involved in leading prayers and bring communion too many. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Knights of Columbus and Parish prayers at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday May 11, 2018 at Our Lady of the Atonement Church (2940 Forest Glade Dr.) from 9:00 am until time of Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
