Obituary of Joan Cecilia Windels

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Joan Cecilia Windels (formerly Carter) on May 3, 2018 at the age of 89 years. She emigrated from England to Canada in 1944. Beloved wife of the late Andre Windels (1991). Dear mother of Carol (Gary) Jones (late Chris Renaud 2009), David (Donna) Carter, late Brian (2013) (May) Carter, Alan (Ann) Carter, and the late Jamie Carter (2006). Treasured grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Daughter of the late Millard and Winifred Besse. Sister of the late Edward, late Elizabeth, and William Besse. Joan was a member of Red Hat Society and Moose Lodge. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff of the Royal Marquis and Villages of St. Clair for their wonderful care and compassion over the years. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to Transition 2 Betterness or charity of choice. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave 519.253.7234 on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9pm. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11am.
