My felllow brother in law, Ron, was a good guy who had his own opinions about the basic things in life. He loved his wife, Dora, and his kids and his grandkids and proved it everyday with his actions. He had two grandsons who were the center of the last years of his life. He would light up with every story he told about Peanut or Josecito. Although he had no biological chidren of his own, he was wise enough to marry someone with three and he thrived in the role of father and then, grandfather. His nostalgia for the old days of his home town, Windsor, Ontario, made an impression on me. During conversations and trips to the old down town, his memories of an earlier time were strong. Different times, simpler times, changes over time in the local economy - were all a part of it. From our discussions on the back porch, I heard about his career as a Jewelry salesman. Mens clothing salesman and a part time Wedding photographer. From a young age, hard work and determination were a part of his life and personality. You were all that any of us can hope for Ron a good husband, father, grandfather and friend that will be remembered for eternity.
