Obituary of Gaetano Martini

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gaetano on April 30, 2018 at 94 years of age. Reunited with his loving wife Raffaela (nee Farina) with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Cherished and loving father of Anna and husband Rocco Lecce, Maria and Gina. Respected by Mario Di Cocco. Devoted Nonno of the late Antonio, Anna, Randy (Amie) and Mario (Adelina) Di Cocco, Cristina, Mario, Laura Lecce, Sabrina and Marc Tricarico. Dear brother of the late Sante (late Maria) and late Maria (late Raimondo). Survived by his brother-in-law Leonardo (late Vittoria). Brother-in-law of the late Mario (late Maria Rosa), late Michele (late Italia) and late Domenica Grosso (late Mario). He will be remembered by his great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Gaetano retired in 1984 after 32 years of loyal service at Windsor Utilities. He will always be remembered by his passion for wine making and playing his favourite card game euchre. Gaetano was a long-time member of the Ciociaro Club and The Giovanni Caboto Club. A special thank-you to Dr. Dale Ziter for many years of dedicated care, the staff at The Royal Marquis, Paramed, Windsor Regional Hospital- Met Campus 6 North, Dr. Y Emara Centre- Complex Care and to Melissa and the staff at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home for your care and compassion given to Gaetano. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Wednesday May 2, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Thursday May 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
