Obituary of Richard Joseph Donat Poirier

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Dick on April 25, 2018 at 71 years of age. Loving husband and best friend of Connie with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. Much loved father of the late Elizabeth, Donna, Roger and wife Megan, and "adopted son" Mike and wife Melody and their children Dylan and Cooper. Dear son of the late Roger and Thora. He will also be missed by his sisters and their families. Dick retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Local 200 and will be missed dearly by his CAW family. At Dick"s request, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Sunday April 29, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial visitation will continue at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd.) on Monday April 30, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. In memory of Dick, memorial donations may be made to the Downtown Mission or to Brentwood Recovery Home.
