Obituary of Joseph Gossmann

Passed peacefully on April 20, 2018 with his beloved wife of 61 yrs. Katharine by his side. Joe was a devoted father and will be kept in the hearts of his sons Peter (Andrea), Walter (Brenda), Daniel (Pam) and Robert (Sheryl). A proud and cherished Opa to; Joel, Nicole, Amanda, Katie Mae, Randy, Emily, Gary, Mike, Max, Robbie, Cameron and his great grandchildren; Gabriel, Jonah, Isabella and Roxanna. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Katharina and his siblings Jani and Anne Huy. Survived by his sibling-in-laws Elfriede Gossmann, John Huy and Anne Thier as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Joe enjoyed 24 years of retirement pursuing his love of classical music, art, painting and the Teutonia choir. He will be remembered fondly by so many for his generous, selfless acts of kindness. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 519-253-7234. Family and friends are invited to gather directly at St. Michael"s German Church (2153 Parkwood Ave, Windsor) for his Memorial Mass on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 12noon.
