Obituary of Thomas Gerald Smith

SMITH, Thomas Gerald Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at the age of 70. Loving husband of the late Kathy (1997) for 17 years. Beloved father of Kevin (Sherri) and Meredith Smith. Cherished companion of Patti Liebrock for 24 years and her loving children Scott (Alexis) Michael (Grace) and Jeffrey and her grandchildren Lucy, Everett, Meghan and Mallory. Son of the late Gerald and Verna Smith (nee Bremner). Brother of Greg Smith. Loved best friend to Gene (Joline) Durlanescu and caregiver of Ted and Phoebe. Tom was a dedicated employee of Ford Motor Company for 30 years and was a member of Unifor Local 200 and CAW Local 200. He enjoyed racing cars, car rally’s and demolition derby’s. Tom was an animal lover, an avid concert attendee and he enjoyed many types of music. When his children were young, he enjoyed taking them to the cottage in Walpole Island with Kathy. He enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach yearly with his family. Tom loved going out with friends and family to local eateries often. Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel), on Thursday, November 12, 2020, from 10 a.m. until time of the Service at 12 p.m. Reservations are required to attend the Service.
