Obituary of Irene Elizabeth Ruel

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother Irene on April 15, 2018, surrounded by family, at the age of 103. Daughter to William and Jane Wall of Tecumseh, Ontario and sister to her late brothers Bill (Floss), John (Florence), Fr. Bernard, Ed (Audrey). Reunited with her loving husband, Horace (1994), daughter Jacqueline Bury (2001) (Peter) and grandson Michael (1996). Mom will be sadly missed by her children Bob (Marlene, 2008), Bernard (Linda Purcell), Leonard (Cathy Lavery) and Mary Lesperance (Denis) all of whom she meant the world to. Adored grandmother to Steve, Scott, David, Dan, Jennifer, Michael, Robin, Jodi, Terri and Shelley with 9 incredible great grandchildren. Mom was a beautiful woman who lived a full and happy life, never complaining, seeing the best in everyone. Her smile was infectious and her faith strong. Mom will be forever loved and missed. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519.253.7234 on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 7:30pm. Funeral services beginning at 10:15am on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the funeral home with procession to St. Anne"s Parish (12233 Tecumseh Rd. E.) for Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at The Village at St Clair Nursing Home (Harrow neighbourhood) for their kind, dedicated and compassionate care.
