Obituary of Luigi Alfini
ALFINI, LuigiIt is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Luigi, a loving Husband, Father, Nonno, Bis-Nonno and Brother on April 9, 2018, at the age of 90. Beloved Husband to Enrica (nee Stirpe) with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage. Loving and devoted Father to Alfredo Alfini and wife Patti, Vittoria Alfini and Don Whitford and Roberto Alfini and wife Joanne. Cherished Nonno to Randy, Ryan (Michael), Gabriella, Shae-Lynn, Isabella, Julian, Sophia, Cole, Jailynn and Bis-Nonno to Evan. Predeceased by parents Alfredo and Vittoria Alfini. Dear Brother to Rita Tiberia and husband Angelino of Italy. Predeceased by Brothers; Angelo, Joseph, Lorenzo, and sister Teresa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Luigi was a very respected and passionate painter in the Windsor-Essex County Area. He enjoyed playing soccer from a very young age and taught his children and grandchildren to carry on this tradition. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Heron Terrace for the care and compassion given to Luigi and his family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234, on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 2-5pm. & 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 4:30pm. Funeral Service on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 8:45am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, donations may be made in Luigi's name to Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County or Love Betty Cancer Foundation.
