Obituary of Alfeo Zonta

ZONTA, Alfeo "Beppino" Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 5, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Augusta (nee Matteazzi) sharing 45 years of marriage. Loving Father of Daniela Zonta of Italy, Louis Zonta (Patricia) of Leamington, Moira Drouillard (Dale) of Tecumseh, Denis Zonta (Kristen) of LaSalle and Adam Zonta of Windsor. Cherished Nonno of Darika, Erin, Alessia, Jaclyn and Jillian. Predeceased by parents Giovanni Erminia Zonta, and siblings Sergio Zonta and Elsa Chiurato (Franco). Dear brother of Silvano Zonta (Luciana) of Italy, Luciana Lunardon (Bruno) of Italy, Cesare Zonta (Giovanna) of Italy, Gioia Pigozzo (Claudio) of Italy. Dear brother in-law of Lala Casale (late Dario) of Italy and Dario Stefani (late Luciana) of Italy. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy and the U.S.A.. Alfeo was the proud owner of Alfeo Refrigeration for over 20 years and prior to that he was a respected tool maker. He was a member of the Caboto Club and the Veneti Association. Alfeo also volunteered his time with the Hart Walker Project (1996-1997) where he was instrumental in building walkers to make a difference in the lives of disabled children. Alfeo took great pride and joy in his family but, he held a very special place in his heart for his beautiful grandchildren Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers Wednesday at 4pm. Funeral Service on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10:15 am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Alfeo's life, memorial donation may be made to the Hospice of Windsor/Essex County.
