Obituary of Kenneth David Walsh
WALSH, Kenneth David Passed away peacefully at age 90. Ken was born and raised in Windsor, and was married to Grace (2010)(nee Garrod) for 62 years. Cherished father to Jim (Anne), Dick (Leslie), Sharon, and Bill (1959). Predeceased by his parents, John and Frances, as well as brothers Francis, John, Aubrey, Terry and sister Elizabeth. Special Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Great-Great Grandfather. Ken worked as a meat manager for Loblaw's and worked at Shawnee High School as a caretaker for the Windsor Board of Education. Ken had a passion for travelling, woodworking, bowling, horseshoes and photography, having taken over 13000 slides. He has some of his photos published in both the 1st and 2nd edition of the book '500 Ways You Know You're From Windsor'. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Devonshire Seniors Home and the Village of Aspen Lake (especially Sandwich Towne) for their love and compassion. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E, 519.253.7234 on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am in the chapel. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society. Condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com
