Obituary of Adorno Adoranti

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on the morning of February 14, 2018 at the age of 95 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Teresa (nee Tosti). Devoted father to Maurice (Julie) Adoranti, Tiziana (Adriano) Alfini, and David (Susie) Adoranti. Cherished and adored nonno to Samantha, Adam, Andrew, Emily, Alyssa and Ava. Loving brother-in-law of Maria (Francesco) Tacconi, Assunta Tosti, Adele Tosti, Angelo (Domenica) Tosti, Bice Adoranti, and Lucia Adoranti. Beloved zio of many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.Awaiting for him in Heaven are his parents, David and Pasqua, along with his siblings, Catarina (Emidio), Luigia (Pietro), Maria (Clorindo), Michelina (Pietro), Nazareno, Giuseppe, in-laws Antonio and Gilda Tosti and children Pietro (Giovanna), Domenico, Constantino and Giovanni. Adorno was a brave veteran of World War II. He moved to Canada in 1967 and worked at Tecumseh Metal until his retirement in 1988. Adorno proudly helped raise his six grandchildren as well as feed his large family, close neighbours and friends with his oversized garden which he tended with loving care. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E 519.253.7234 on Friday, February 16, 2018 2-5 & 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 4:30pm. Funeral Service held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 8:45am at the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Adorno"s name to Transition To Betterness or the Hospice of Windsor Essex County.
