Obituary of John Miroslav Gazo

John went home peacefully to be with his Lord on February 3, 2018 at the Villages at St. Clair. Born July 27, 1924 in Ceklis, Czechoslovakia, and came to Canada in 1930. Beloved husband of Doreen (Buress) (nee Zajicek) and the late Helen (nee Keren) (1997). Dear brother of the late Doreen (2013), Walter (Mary 2004), Julius (1944), Donald (Paulette) and Ethel (Jim Reaume). Loved step-father of Carol (Robert Weaver), Bryan Buress (Nancy), and Wendy (David Asher) and their families. Dear Uncle and Great-Uncle to many nieces and nephews. John was a veteran and P.O.W. of WWII with the R.C.A.F. 408 "Goose" Squadron and an active, long-time member of Grace Baptist Church. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 2-4pm 6-8pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 8 at Grace Baptist Church (3150 Tecumseh Rd E.) from 9:30 am until the Funeral Service at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
