I am very saddened to hear of Romeo’s passing. My family and I lived on Gordon Avenue ( my brother Matt still lives there) and I was one of Romeo’s “Sweathogs”. Romeo and Shelley were my neighbours in Port Franks several years ago. I have great memories of fun times at their "weekend retreat", using their pool and around their camp fire. Rest in peace Romeo.

Hi Patrick, I just wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. It is amazing how cancer can take something so precious away from us so quickly... we all think- just if I had one more day... So sorry to hear of Romeo's passing. Romeo talked Norm into playing baseball for Ford Motor Company, which led to a relationship with our family. We met you and him at Country Boy restaurant about 5 years ago. We had a nice chat, and he asked about our 3 daughters. We were so impressed by this kind gesture. With saddened hearts we send our condolences to Romeo's family. We all have lost a gentleman's gentleman and a role model. As a fellow optimist member, I have witnessed Romeo leading by example. Romeo was not only a great friend, he was a role model. Romeo was always ready to volunteer and be there for his family and friends. Romeo will be greatly missed. Dear Shelley, it was with great dismay that I read last night about Romeo's death. My daughter Anja received the sad news via facebook and forwarded it to me. It struck me very much that my dear cousin passed away after a stay in a palliative care center at just 70 years old. I hope he didn't suffer too much. Surely you, his children and grandchildren accompanied him to the end and made him feel your love. I will always keep Romeo in the best memory and like to think back to the unfortunately very few meetings. In my thoughts, I will attend the funeral. Our family mourns Romeo with all our hearts. Your Bruno and Angelika, Anja and Sven, Julia and Jimmy.

I am so sorry to hear of Romeo"s passing ,my prayers to the whole family. Romeo and I shared many happy times in highschool and skating at Lansberry Park. Would run into each other over the years at hockey tournments, with our sons playing on competitive teams. RIP my friend,watch over your Grandkids who you were so proud of ,and your whole family.

Sandy and I were very saddened to learn of Romeos passing. Romeo and I were unlikely but long time friends from early rival high school days when we first met cruising Harvey's, BK and McDonalds in our MGs. Romeo was the kind of guy who was easy to make friends with and the rest is a long story that I will never forget. You could say he was very approachable!! ( a long time inside joke) Rest in peace my friend I will dearly miss you!!!!!

I met Romeo through the SCB Optimist Club. A great guy totally devoted to his family and community. I last had a chance to talk with him a couple of years back, enjoyed sharing stories of our days in the Optimist Club and talking about our Kids and Grandkids - He was extremely proud of them! I am proud to call him friend! Remember the good times!
