Obituary of Lorraine Catherine Harway

HARWAY, Lorraine Catherine (nee Boutet)November 25, 1927 - January 30, 2018Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Predeceased by her husband Walter (2000), son Gary and daughter Denise, and by her siblings Leo and Helen Boutet. Loving mother to Charlene (Wayne Colautti), Peter (Judy), Janine (David Andry), Hugh, and Cathy (Tracy Taylor). She will be dearly missed by her 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Survived by her siblings Raymond Boutet, Norman (Winnie) Boutet and Joanne Thomas. Lorraine was compassionate as shown in the various works she did. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, Rosary Club, she said the rosary with the children at Mt. Carmel School and part of the Rosary team at Extendicare (Southwood Lakes), She was also a member of the St. Anthony and St. Theresa Society, and she sewed blankets for the poor in India. She also sponsored children through Chalice Canada. Lorraine will be best known for her sense of humour, her smile, friendliness and her great outlook on life. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave 519-253-7234 on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 3pm followed by a Decade of the Rosary at 3:30pm. Family and friends will gather at Mt. Carmel Church (4401 Mt.Royal Drive) on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 9:30am for visitation until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
