Obituary of Arcangelo Silani

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Angelo on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He will be missed by his wife of 65 years, Maria and his son Larry (Karen) and late son Louis (MaryLou) and grandchildren Andrea, Natalie, Jacob and David. Survived by Giuseppe (Alberta) Silani and Albina Zanier along with his sister-in-laws in Italy, Maria and Rena. Predeceased by brother Pietro and sister Maria; and in-laws Elsa (Angelo Truant), Riccardo (Regina) Scodellaro, Giacomo Zanier, and Luigi Scodellaro. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, here and in Italy. Angelo was a devoted lifelong member of the Fogolar Furlan Club and he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren. The Silani family would like to extend many thanks and sincere appreciation to all the hospital staff on 2 North (Ouellette Campus), especially Nurse Ashley and Dr. Trang. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 2pm until a prayer service in memory of Angelo begins at 4pm. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by Angelo"s family.
