Obituary of Mary Helen Burke

BURKE, Mary Helen (nee Szymanski) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary on January 24, 2018 at Iler Lodge Essex at the age of 94. Reunited with her beloved husband Donald. Loving mother to Murray Burke (Suszan), late Donald Burke Jr. and surviving wife Sherry, and William Burke (Laurie). Cherished Grandma to 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by siblings Rose, Stan and Florence. Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews. Her greatest pride and joy in life was spending time with her family, along with her hobbies of cooking and sewing. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Iler Lodge in Essex for the years of compassionate care provided to Mary and her family. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7234) on Friday January 26, 2018 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers Friday at 7 pm. Funeral service on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 10:30 am in the Chapel. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to honour Mary"s life may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor Essex.
