Obituary of Lorraine Dupuis

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Lorraine, on January 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 84. Reunited with husband, Leonard, daughter Judy Ryall and step-son Philip Dupuis. Loving mother to Randy (Terra) Bouma, Ken Ryall, Carol (Rick) Murphy, Sandra (Marc) Quenneville, Jim (Janice) Bouma, Grant (Debra) Bouma, Bob (Michelle) Bouma, Elizabeth Bechard (Dave Standel), Diane (Joe) Leboeuf, Jean-Paul Bouma, Leonard Dupuis Jr. (Claire), Alan (Bonnie) Dupuis, Carol (Mike) Dupuis, Gerry Dupuis (Vesna). Adored by over 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Cherished sister to Harold Pierre, Maurice (Frieda) Pierre, Marcel Pierre, Leonard (Marion) Langlois, and the late Mary Turner. Predeceased by her first husband Walter Bouma, parents George and Valida Pierre, and step-father George Langlois. Lorraine was a proud member of the CWL, a dedicated member of the Colour Guard at the Legion Branch 261, and one of the first women to work at Chrysler. She leaves her legacy through Shoreline Tecumseh Minor Hockey Association, where she paved the way for women"s hockey through the "60s and "70s. Lorraine was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. A special thank you to the Country Village Nursing Home care team for their wonderful care, especially Kristy, Sammi, Bree, Laurie, and Chantelle. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm " 9:00 pm. CWL prayers to take place at 3:00 pm. Visitation to continue at St. Anne"s Parish (Tecumseh), 12233 Tecumseh Road East, on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 10:30 am until the time of funeral mass at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at St. Anne"s Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the Windsor Downtown Mission.
