Obituary of Sylvia Dixon

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia, loving mother to John (June), David (Susan), and Jeffrey (Wendy); adored Baba to Heather (Tim Gabrielle), Rachael (James Bondy), Nicholas (2011), Matthew, Kyle (Nicole), Dana (Michael Mollica), Stephanie and Daniel. Very loved Great-Baba to Geoffrey, Aidan, Logan, Madison, Kendall. Survived by her sisters Phyllis (Roy Rutt) and Josephine (Alex Lyder). Sylvia is predeceased by her parents Basil Kaniuk and Anna Wolfe, her siblings Steve Ziganiuk (Trudi) and Olga (Jack Webster), her late husband Richard, and her dear friend Doug Galipeau. Sylvia will be deeply and dearly missed by her family and many friends. She treasured her family, her relationships, and her generosity was ongoing. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2-4pm 7-9pm. A service in celebration of Sylvia"s life will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 10:30am. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. In appreciation, donations may be made to charity of your choice.
