Obituary of Carl Makarich

(Dragutin) Passed away peacefully on January 13, 2018 at Heron Terrace, surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born in Kostel, Croatia to the late Imbro and Ana (nee Bastasic) Makarich. Predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (nee Sverha) Makarich (2010), brother James (2015) and sister-in-law Linda (nee Hauspie) Makarich (1995). Survived by his sister Mary (Michael) Kennedy and brother John. Dear uncle to Michael Germek, Michael Makarich, Mary Jane Sverha-Owen and JoAnne Sverha. Special thankyou to Dr. Nicholas Krayacich, Dr. Mark Bacon and the fabulous staff at Heron Terrace as well as his friend Walter Chase. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered. Visitation took place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 2-5pm. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Parish (85 Park St. E) at 10am with Fr. Nicholas Mauro Iko officiating followed by Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
