Obituary of James Joseph Manning

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmy surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home on December 24, 2017 at 85 years of age. Loving husband and best friend of Imelda (nee Brown) with whom he shared 60 years of wonderful marriage. Reunited with his parents Patrick and Margaret Manning. Cherished father of James Jr. (Lori) Manning, Wally (Kim) Manning, Delores (Dave) Paquin, Darlene (Richard) Drouillard, and Darla (Sandy) MacMaster. Adored papa of Jason Burgoin, James Manning, Jennifer Bondy, Charlotte Janik, Brianne Drouillard, David Paquin, Lauren Drouillard, Jamie Doucette, and Kendall MacMaster. Great papa of Ciara Bondy, Daphne Janik and Gage Manning. Dear brother of the late Michael, Helen, Margarite Manning, Patrick (late Betty) Manning, late Francis (late Lola) Manning, Vince (late Mary) Manning, late Liz (late Bill) Reardon, Theresa Manning, and late Ron (Helen) Manning. Brother-in-law of Anne Hobbs, late Margaret Dahle, late Phil (late Jack) McCormik, Dolores Brown, late Kay, late Wallace, and late Frederick Brown, and late Fred (Shirley) Brown. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Jimmy retired from Chrysler after 30 years of dedicated service as a skilled tradesman. Above all, Jimmy will always be remembered for his selflessness and unwavering love and devotion to his family. A special thank you to Fr. Robert Rocheleau, Dr. Scott Naylor, Hospice, Paramed, The Lin and especially Siobhan Paquin for your kindness. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. On Friday, December 29, 2017, relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at Our Lady of the Atonement Parish (2940 Forest Glade Drive) for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
