Obituary of Judith Mae Labiak

LABIAK, Judith Mae (nee Bondy) It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our beloved Judy on December 15, 2017, at the age of 77. She was surrounded by her family while sharing memories of wonderful moments filled with laughter and joy. She was a dedicated and loving wife for 55 years to Michael. Cherished mother to Michael (Christine), Christina Murphy (Allan), and Natalee. Daughter of the late Gordon Bondy (1951), and Veronica Gauthier (nee Gough) (2003). Sister of the late Diane Sutherland (2007) and Susan Mailloux (2011). Sister of Richard Gauthier (Kath) and Robert Gauthier. Very proud grandmother of Maggie, Mackenzie, Ian Murphy, Michael, James (Chloe), Jenna Labiak, and extremely proud great grandmother of Bruce Labiak. Aunt to Sean and Jamie Parker, and Ronnie Mailloux, Billie-Jo Kavanaugh and Chad Sutherland, and Paul Gauthier. She will also be missed by her cousins and many friends. Thank you to Fr. Larry Brunet for his kind blessings and prayers. Special thanks to the Cancer Clinic and 4th floor Oncology staff both at Metropolitan Hospital, and especially Dr. Paul Ziter. Judy diligently worked for over 30 years with Ralph Wilson Sr. and for Ralph Wilson Jr. who owned the Buffalo Bills Football Team whose offices were located in Detroit, Michigan. Her grandchildren and great grandchild were the absolute loves of her life. Her motivation and tenacity were driven by her love for those energetic children. For several years, she was a steadfast and thoughtful volunteer at Hospice. Judy had a unique quality in that she could effortlessly reach out to many people with her loving, compassionate and caring presence. Her beautiful blue eyes will be remembered forever and she will be sadly missed by all.
