Obituary of June Catherine Hurley

Born in Windsor Ontario, May 28 1941, June died peacefully at Seasons Lakeshore, surrounded by loved ones on December 8, 2017. She was predeceased by her son, John Timothy (JT) Hurley, her siblings Jeanne (Noel) Nosotti, Virginia (Noel) Chevalier, John Noel and nephew Jimmy Nosotti. June leaves behind to mourn, her sister Judith (Noel) Goulin, brothers-in-law Dennis Goulin and Gerry Nosotti, many beloved nieces and nephews and their spouses and families: David Nosotti, Ann Marie (Nosotti) Brauchler, Mary Beth (Nosotti) Madziar, Roland, Nicole, Michelle, Larry, Joe Chevalier; Anna Chevalier, Annette (Goulin) Crisson, John Goulin, Matt Goulin. June had a strong sense of family. She especially enjoyed the company of her nieces and nephews. She had a host of loyal friends, especially Stacey St. Amand, Maggie Ladouceur and Dolores Blonde, who were extremely supportive during her illness. June's family and friends will remember her as a caring, kind and generous person. During her long career as a social worker, she enriched the lives of many people. Gifted with a wonderful sense of humour, June loved to make people laugh. Reading was a life-long passion. She had an extensive knowledge of world politics and enjoyed a good discussion. June was an avid birder for many years and a dedicated Scrabble player. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Saturday December 16, 2017 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, give a donation to a charity of your choice if you wish; or reach out to someone in need and extend your hand in friendship as June did so often.
