Obituary of Gail Ann Sabga

Passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 48 years to John Michael. Cherished mother to Ian and wife Kristie and Tamara and husband Mike Desjardins. Adored Grammy of Emma, Declan, and Kieran. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Carmen (nee: Donatien) de Souza and brothers Tony and Nicky. Much loved sister to Patsy and Cedric. Will be missed by her furry companion Whiskey. Gail was born in Trinidad Tobago, and immigrated to Canada in 1971 with John and Ian. She and daughter Tamara were the proud owners of Hibiscus House Salon in Tecumseh, Ontario, with Gail being a hairdresser for over 35 years. At home, Gail loved to spend the summers tending to her beautiful gardens. She was also a member of the CWL at the Lady of the Atonement Church. A special thank you to David Shaw from St. Elizabeth"s for his care and compassion throughout Gail"s journey. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd E, 519.253.7234 on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm " 9:00 pm. Parish and CWL prayers to take place at 3:30 pm. Visitation will continue at Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church, 2940 Forest Glade Drive, on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 9:00 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Cremation will follow with an interment at St. Anne"s Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Gail"s family encourages donations to be made to Hospice of Windsor.
