Obituary of Lawrence Patrick Bracken

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Larry on December 6th, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Loving husband of Valerie Delrue. Treasured son of Patrick and Rita Bracken. Legendary brother of Jessica McCullough and husband Peter. Cherished daddy of Ruby. Step father of Reid, Mya, Shayna, and Mariah. Reunited with his loving grandparents Larry and Clara Bracken and Ray and Theresa Rivait. Dear son-in-law of Larry (Joyce) Delrue and Judy (late Ray) Roy. Brother-in-law of Ken Delrue and wife Sherry and Mike Delrue and wife Jenn. Special uncle of Noah, Alex, Jack, Meghan, Sydney, Jaxon, and Lucas. Much loved Godson of Ernie Bracken. He will also be missed by many extended family and friends. Larry was a dedicated employee of Walsh Construction. He will also be remembered for his love for the outdoors and many successful hunting trips with his father and friends. Above all, his unwavering love and devotion to his family will never be forgotten. A special thank you to Hospice of Windsor, Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Be Well Clinic, Chipsa Hospital, GoFund Me donors, 7th floor doctors and nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital- Ouellette Campus, and especially Tania Quenneville for your compassionate care and friendship given to Larry. Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East, 519-253-7234 on Friday December 8th, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Simon & St. Jude Church (488 St. Charles St, Belle River) on Saturday December 9th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery. In memory of Larry, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor and Essex or to Ronald McDonald House of Windsor.
