Obituary of Patrick Murphy

MURPHY, Patrick "Pat"Passed away peacefully on November 28, 2017 surrounded by family at the age of 87 years. Dear husband of Gerri (nee Gravel). Loving father of Martin and wife Claire, Bradley and wife Ursula and John. Dear grandfather of Matthew, Ryan, Bradley, and Brock. Dear brother of Peter Murphy and wife Betty, Michael Murphy and wife Anne, late Tom Murphy (late wife Elaine), and late Sheila (late Walter White). Dear brother-in-law to Joyce Muldoon (late Larry), and Dorothy Bach (late Con). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Patrick was a life time member of the Knights of Columbus (South Windsor). He served with Windsor Police Service for 8 years before working at and retiring from General Motors Trim Plant. Patrick was an avid sports fan and athlete. In his youth, he excelled at playing hockey and lacrosse. He also enjoyed the horse racing in his later years. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East, 519.253.7234 on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. K of C prayers at 7:30 p.m. Family and friends are requested to meet at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (804 Grand Marais Road East) on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. for Funeral Mass.
