Obituary of Vincent LaBute

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Vince on November 23, 2017 at the age of 90. Loving husband to Lauretta (nee Ducharme) for over 70 years. Cherished dad to Linda and Jim Cecile, Brian and Leslie LaBute, Kevin and Dianne LaBute, Fred LaBute, Colleen and Dave Norris. Proud Pepe to Christa and Jeff Wells, Tanya and Derek Kelly, Shalaina and Tom Kitsos, Brianne LaBute and Andrew, Brittany LaBute, Brysen LaBute, Jacob LaBute, Lucas LaBute, Deidre Norris and Adam, Carly Norris, Kurt Norris, and Grant Norris and Pepe to 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Fred and Diana LaBute, and sister Ruth LaBute. Loving brother to Bob and Eileen LaBute, Frieda and Maurice Pierre, Ron and the late Sandra LaBute. Vince will be remembered and missed by Lauretta"s family, and many nieces and nephews. Vince was a proud owner of the Handy Place Grocery at Lesperance Road and Riverside Drive. He leaves behind his legacy at the same corner with a story board of his family"s history. Vince was known throughout Tecumseh for his love of music, dedicating much of his free-time singing in the St. Anne"s Church choir. Throughout his 30 years of retirement, Vince and Lauretta would escape the cold Canadian winters and pull their trailer to Florida to enjoy the sun. He will be missed for his dedication and love for his family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2:00 pm " 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm " 8:00 pm. Parish prayers at 7:30pm. Visitation will continue at St. Anne"s Church (Tecumseh), 12233 Tecumseh Road, East on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 10:30 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Cremation will follow. For those who wish and in memory of Vince, memorial donations can be made to the ASPIRE Fund at St. Anne"s Church.
