Obituary of Anne Dzuba

Anne passed away peacefully at the age of 92 in the early morning hours of November 21st, 2017.She was born in Toronto, married at the age of 19, immigrated with her husband and son to Detroit and lived there until the unexpected passing of her husband Brownie. She moved back to Toronto to live with her parents for a time, then lived independently for most of her life, while working hard for many years as a secretary up until her late retirement. She recently moved to Windsor to be closer to her son, Don and granddaughter/great granddaughters - where she stayed until her passing. She lived a long life filled with watching a lot of "Showtime" movies, the Weather Channel and CNN, along with consistently worrying about those whom she loved. She was a big fan of anything peanut butter and other sweet snacks. She could often be found reading anything she could get her hands on (her latest favorites were National Geographic magazines and mystery novels by Janet Evanovich). She was known to be very thrifty with her usage of everyday items. Who knew you could pull apart 1 ply tissues?? (We will be finding saved tissues and paper towels for years to come, I am sure of it). She wore the same green knitted slippers for many years, refusing any new/fancy slippers, instead taping them up when they began to unravel and calling them "perfectly fine".She is now reunited with her husband Bernard Brown "Brownie" Dzuba, her loving parents Annie and Louis Menski and brother-in-law Mike Shimko.Survived by her loving son Donald Juba, dear granddaughter Angela (Juba) Martell (husband Adam Martell), great-grandchildren Kendal and Zoe Martell, cherished sister Jenny Shimko. She will be missed by dear nephew Jimmy Shimko along with great nephews Daniel and Richard Shimko), nephew Michael Shimko, (wife Connie Shimko), her great nephew David Shimko and great niece Jessica Shimko. She was also loved by many other friends and neighbors over the years, and will be missed dearly by too many to mention.Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519.253.7234 on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 11am until time of the Chapel Service at 1pm.Online condolences and cherished memories may be left with the family at www.windsorchapel.com
