Obituary of Janet Gravel (nee: Sanford)

Passed away peacefully, on November 14, 2017 at the age of 59. Survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Jean-Paul (J.P.) and daughter Tania (Andre) Young. She also leaves behind her beloved and cherished grandchildren, Becky-Lynn and Brittany Young. Predeceased by her parents Clifford (1986) and Elizabeth Ann (2000) Sanford. Dear sister of Wayne (Phyllis), Clifford (1995), Beverly (1964), Shirley (Ross) Soutar, Judy (Paul) Mayea, Phillip (1964), Keith (Cathy), Karen Anderson, Krystal (Greg) Ducharme, and Mark (Christine). Sister-in-law to Marsha Ellis, Janine (Jim) Baillie, Jerome Gravel (2015), Robert (Jeannine) Gravel, Jackie (Fred) Durfy, and Rachel Gravel. Loving niece to Mrs. Joan Cohan, Mrs. Jean Fortune, and Mrs. Rose Marie Gerard. Janet will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her treatment team, especially Dr. Kay and his team, Dr. Freeman and her team, Dr. Burgess and his hospice team, Susan from VON, and Stephanie, her nurse practitioner. Memorial visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road, East (519-253-7234) on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 6:00 pm " 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 11:00 am until the time of Janet"s Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. In keeping with Janet"s wishes, cremation has taken place. In kindness, and for those who wish, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Windsor or Windsor Cancer Centre.
