Obituary of Margaret Rose Docherty

Docherty, Margaret Rose (Nee Holmes)Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on October 27, 2017 at Banwell Gardens. Loving and devoted wife to the late George Anthony Docherty (Nov 17-12). Loving mother to William (Debra), John (Cynthia), Patrick (Patricia), Dan (Debbie), James (Dawn), Ann, and Edward (Celeste). Cherished grandmother of 17 and dear great-grandmother to 16. Predeceased by 3 brothers George, Jack and Tom Holmes, of which 2 were killed in World War II (Jack and Tom), and 3 sisters Lena Pyne, Sarah Leightizer and Dora Marion. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. One of Margaret's joys was bowling in the Sandwich East Bowling League for many years which she was also President of for a period of time. She was also a past President of The Civinette's Club. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the dedication and loving care the staff of Banwell Gardens and Amy`s Helping Hands gave to mom during her stay. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E 253-7234 on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Ceremony in the Chapel on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11am. Cremation to follow. As your expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Essex Area Food Bank.
