Obituary of Pietro Zambito

ZAMBITO, Pietro, Passed away peacefully on Saturday Oct 21st, at Metropolitan Hospital, at the age of 83 with his family by his side. Born in Montallegro, Italy. Son of the late Giacinto Zambito and Leonarda Leo. Beloved husband of Angelica (nee Parisi) Zambito. Loving father of Gino Zambito (Heather Paisley Zambito), Tony Zambito, Nick Zambito (Kathy Zambito) and Nadia Zambito. Dedicated Nonno of Zachary, Matthew , Victoria, Angelica, Antonia, Pietro, Amanda (Matt Haskell) and Samantha. Dear brother of late Nicola Zambito (Teresa), Norina Proietto (Stefano), and Caterina Bonifacio (Giovanni), the late Vincenza Scalia (Vincenzo). He is remembered by many nieces and nephews. Pietro was retired after having worked 34 years at Chrysler Canada. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and took pride in providing everything he could for us. Pietro was extremely proud of all four of his children and their families. He was a man who gave us such courage and hope and always reminded us of the preciousness of life. A special thanks to all those who touched Pietro with their kindness throughout his illness. E., 519 253 7234 on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 2-5 & 7-9p.m. Parish Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday October 24, 2017 at 9:30a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave) for Funeral Mass at 11:00a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave.).
