Obituary of Rose Mae Kavanaugh

KAVANAUGH, Rose Mae (nee Parent) 83 years, passed peacefully at Hospice Residential Home (HRH) on October 10th. Beloved wife of Richard Toffelmire and the late Donald Kavanaugh (1977); mother of Donna Danelon (Larry), Ross (Lyse Chauvin), and Michael; grandmother of Phil and Britt Danelon, Sarah and Brad Kavanaugh. Fondly remembered by Dave Toffelmire (Liz) and daughter Szalyna, and Diana Guilbeault (Mike Vagi). Daughter of Eva (2000) and Ernest (1989) Parent. Sister of Alphonse Parent (1994) (Rita, 2008), Lillian Lyman (Morris, 1985) and Noela Hodgins (Gordon, 2003). Rose retired from K-Mart Tecumseh Mall after 20 years of service. She was an avid Windsor Spitfire fan, and enjoyed baking, cooking and cruising. Thank you to the dedicated and compassionate HRH staff and volunteers for their unending comfort; your care is beyond words. Special thanks to palliative physicians Drs. Aoun, Freeman, Bergeron, Cargill, Rukavina, Burgess, Milne and DeJager; also thanks to the Windsor Regional Cancer Program staff and the Windsor Spitfire Organization. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234, on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 2-5pm & 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 7:30pm. Visiting will continue on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Atonement (2940 Forest Glade Dr.) at 10am until time of Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, 5005 Howard Ave. If you so desire, donations to the Hospice Residential Home would be much appreciated by the family.
