Obituary of Sylvio Bedard

Has gone to join his beloved wife Eleanor (2000) on September 17, 2017 at the age of 94. Much loved friend to Teresa and Dave Rieveley and their family. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Adeline as well as his siblings. Survived by his dear sister Florence and his nieces and nephews. Sylvio was a veteran of WWII, serving with the 30th Recce Unit and The Essex Scottish Regiment. He was recently awarded the Legion of Honour from the French Government for his exceptional service in their country. He will be remembered by the many friends he made through the Windsor Veteran Memorial Service Committee and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12. Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E 591-253-7234. Friends and Family are asked to gather directly at Our Lady of The Lake Cemetery (corner of Drouillard and Seminole, Windsor) for a graveside service on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2pm under the Auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee. A Celebration of Sylvio"s life will take place at a later date in October. If you so desire, donations in his memorial may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12.
