Obituary of Robert Richards

Richards, Robert (Bob)passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on September 11, 2017 at 75 years of age. Loving husband of Lynne (nee Morrow) having shared 50 years of marriage. Proud father of Crystal and husband Steve Eltringham . Dear brother of Dick and wife Mary, Roseanne and husband Terry Houlbrook, Bill and wife Terryl and Mark and wife Irene. Brother in law of Cyndy and husband Elmer Pridham, Donna and husband Kevin Metcalfe, Alison and husband Wayne Caylor and many other nieces, nephews and extended family. Bob was a special friend of Mike and Kathy Massicotte, and Charlotte and Dave Wilkins. His memory will live on in the hand crafted cottage that he and Lynne proudly built along side his extended cottage family; Mary and Ernie Schmidt, Ivan and Rose Grah, Sheila and Wally Gorka and Billy and Magda Meek. Bob forged many relationships along the way on the golf courses of Windsor and Essex county, again leaving behind many friends. A very special thank-you from Bob's family to Kathy Cebulski, who spent endless hours enhancing the quality of Bob's last few years. Bob retired from Ford motor company with over 43 years of dedicated service in the skilled trades department, he always affectionately referred to himself as a "Tin Knocker". Cremation has taken place, come have a celebratory beverage in Bob's honour on Monday September 18, 2017 between 2:00 & 4:30 p.m. at The Thompson House Restaurant and Pub 5370 Wyandotte Street East at Thompson Blvd. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Banwell location) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234. In kindness, memorial tributes to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor Essex County, will be fondly accecpted at Bob's celebration of life.
