Obituary of Gino DeSantis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, at home, on August 27, 2017 at the age of 88. Cherished husband to Cesidia for 63 years. Loved father to Rocco Sr. (Carla), Antionette (Roger) Williams and Loreta (Joe) Hayes. Proud Nonno to Cynthia (Ron), Rocco Jr. (Elizabeth), Phillip, Mary (Gary), Bill, Michael, Amanda (Jeff), Stella (Geoff) and Matthew. Loved Bis-Nonno to Alexander, Grace, Nicholas, Gino, Angelina, Ben, and Emily. Predeceased by his parents, Raphael and Angelina. Dear brother to the late Felix (the late Antonia), Giacomo (Maria), the late Santino (the late Angela), Maria (Tony). Brother-in-law to Maria (the late Domenico), Giuseppe (Maria). Gino will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends near and abroad. A special thank you to each caregiver for their compassion and care for our beloved Gino; your kindness will not be forgotten. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Avenue, 519-253-7234, on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 2:00 pm " 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm " 9:00 pm. Parish prayers to take place at 4:30 pm. Funeral Services on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 8:45 am from the funeral home to St. Angela Merici Church, 980 Louis Avenue, for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, and in memory of Gino, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer"s Society.
