Obituary of Leonardo Caruana

CARUANA, Leonardo December 29, 1933 - August 26, 2017 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, nonno and bis-nonno. Son of the late Emmanuel and Anna (Zambito) Caruana. Loving husband of the late Anna Caruana (nee Vento). Loving and devoted father of Anna(Brad) Makaric, Mary(Frank) Urso and Elena (Garrie) Nolan. Caro nonno of Michael (Brittany), Kyle (Kaitlyn), Lisa (Rob), Lauren (Corey), Kristen, Kaylee, Alexa and Frankie. Cherished by many great grandchildren. Loving brother of Anna (late Leonardo) Gagliano, late Salvatore and Giuseppina Caruana, and Antonio (late Carmela) Caruana. Dear brother-in-law of the late Vincenzo (survived by wife Anna) Vento, late Antonia (Andrea) Salemi, late Leonardo (Giuseppina) Vento, and late Giuseppina (Stefano) Coppola. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thanks to Cardinal Place for their exceptional care. Leonardo emigrated from Italy. He dedicated his life to the construction industry and was well respected throughout the community. Leonardo was a member of the Caboto Club. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7234 on Friday September 1, 2017 from 2 to 5pm 7 to 9pm. Parish prayers Friday at 4:30 pm. Funeral Service on Saturday September 2, 2017 at 8:45 am from the Funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
