George. I can’t believe I am writing this, it feels like I am in a daze. I remember the first time I met you and Sheila, I hadn’t been going out with Steve long and you came to visit, I was so nervous. I remember looking for you at the airport, how could I miss you? You were standing there bold as brass in Manchester proudly wearing your Liverpool shirt. You just said “come ‘ere girl’ and gave me the biggest hug. From that moment on I felt like I’d known you all my life and you and Sheila have always treated me as one of the Flay’s. We’ve had some great times over the years (memories I will treasure) on our travels and you never failed to make me laugh out loud. You were such a kind and loving man, always giving me a big hug when I needed it. I am so sorry I can’t be there to say goodbye to you tomorrow. We are all heartbroken. I will make sure Harry and Ruby know how special you were. We tell them all the funny stories about Grandad George! We have a lot of material! ❤️ I hope you’re up there with a ding dong and coke. Goodnight George, sleep tight. Love you always. Xxxx ❤️ YNWA
