Obituary of Vilma Barzotto

We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Vilma Barzotto (nee Azzalini) on August, 21st, 2017 at the age of 92. In keeping with her Cimbri roots, she embraced her life with strength, courage and dignity. Dedicated wife of 67 years to Luigi Barzotto. Proud and loving mother of devoted son, Gino (Antoinette) and reunited with cherished late son Carlo (2017). Dear nonna of Daniela, Deanna, Nadia and Lisa and nonnina of Emma, Abby, Dashiell and Sofie. Remembered by friends and family in Fregona, Italy and Le Rotte, Cansiglio. Vilma was a proud member of the Caboto Club Ladies Auxillary for 24 years, where she was an accomplished bocciofila competitor. She enjoyed Tai Chi, tending to her gardens and spending time with family and friends. She was a faithful member of St. Angela Merici Church. The family would like to thank Windsor Regional Hospital and Dr. Sion for their care and compassion. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519 253-7234 on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 4-7 pm. Parish prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 8:45 am from the Funeral Home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Transition to Betterness or Hospice of Windsor-Essex County.
